Slideshow update
Using the fullscreen slideshow makes it now a lot more fun and convenient to look at discover pages, your news stream, lightbox and many other pages as you can view a continuous stream of a set of photos. You can still view the entry of a photo by clicking on the new entry icon or the "e" key on your keyboard. To switch back to your selected set of photos you simple click the same icon or keyboard key. With this update you now go directly to the slideshow from your news stream which makes it easier to quickly browse photos.

The new slideshow also features many small improvements such as the new info box in the side column. Navigation buttons now also hide when you stop using the mouse. Likes and the photo info box now stay open when you browse. Performance should also be improved and make the slideshow load faster than before. We also added a new "enlarge" button at the bottom right of all photos so that you can easily hide thumbs and feedback to enjoy fullscreen photos.

For fast easy browsing we recommend using the slideshow keyboard commands:

i : Toggle photo info.
c : Comment on a photo.
l : Like a photo.
e : Toggle the photo entry of a photo.
< : Previous photo.
> : Next photo.
space : Next photo.
z : Toggle fullscreen view.
s : Show the sharing dialog.
Up : Paginate previous set of thumbs.
Down : Paginate next set of thumbs.
esc : Exit.
x : Exit.

You can also navigate to the next photo by clicking on the main photo.

We hope you enjoy this update and as always welcome any kind of feedback!

Full screen slideshow
Today we make the Zaplife experience even more fun by releasing a full screen slideshow feature for all photos. The new full screen slideshow will also display photos at a higher resolution to properly utilize your screen. With the larger photo size you will be able to enjoy photos in greater detail than before and fully appreciate each photo.
Launching into full screen mode is easy. On the discover and lightbox pages you simply click on the photo thumbs. On an entry you simply click on the main photo.

The slideshow has two modes. One that looks similar to todays entry where you can easily navigate and comment photos. The second mode hides the entry text, comments and thumbs enabling you to enlarge the photo even further. To switch between these modes you click on the "Entry" tab or hit the "e" key on your keyboard.

To navigate through the slideshow you can click on the arrows that appear, click on thumbs or use the arrows on your keyboard. In fact, you can control the entire slideshow using keyboard shortcuts. To see all available shortcuts you launch the slideshow, click on the info button and then click on show.

We hope you will enjoy this new feature! Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any kind of feedback.

Lens and camera equipment
Zaplife now automatically tags lenses when you upload photos. To see what lens was used simply click on the "photo info" link under each photo.
We have also created a new "info" box under each profile displaying additional information for your visitors such as camera equipment, website, location and description. Click on the new info button on a profile to learn more about a photographer.
On the discover page we have added a tag cloud so that you can browse photos taken by specific lenses. This is a great way to see what can be done with a lens you have or thinking of buying.

Sometimes when you re-save your photo with a photo editing application the lens meta data is lost. If you do not see any lens information under your photo try and upload the original photo from your camera.
